Ethics and Malpractice Statements

 

JSSM adheres to COPE, ICMJE, and relevant domain specific standards.

  • Authorship: Adopt CRediT taxonomy; contributions must be declared. All authors approve the final manuscript and are accountable for their contributions.
  • Conflicts of Interest: Financial and non financial interests must be disclosed.
  • Human/Animal Research: Provide ethics approvals (IRB/IACUC or international equivalents). Clinical/device trials must register in a public registry.
  • Data, Code & Materials: Deposit data and code in trusted repositories; include persistent identifiers (DOI) and a Data & Code Availability Statement.
  • Preprints: JSSM welcomes preprints; cite the preprint version and link to the final article post publication.
  • Plagiarism & Misconduct: Submissions are screened (e.g., iThenticate). Suspected misconduct follows COPE flowcharts.
  • AI Tools Policy: AI assistants and generative tools may support writing/analysis with full disclosure in the Methods or Acknowledgements. Tools cannot be listed as authors. Authors are responsible for verifying accuracy and avoiding fabricated content or references.
